Today was my morning off. My morning off is slightly different than Mr. Sloths. When I woke up it was only Happy and I in bed. The little guy has gotten used to nursing privileges this week as he was teething so he's out of the habit of sleeping through the night. Just as he was waking up Mr. Sloth was getting in the shower which of course meant I was in charge of the kiddos. (So much for sleeping in on my morning off). Within the hour Mr. Sloth had the kids dressed, and on their way to grandmas. After brewing a pot of coffee and wishing my mother a happy birthday I headed for a nice long bath. I took my sweet old time getting ready for the day and then did various tasks around the house I find hard to do with kids around. (They always seem to want attention.) I worked on Demand's Europe scrapbook, read, cleaned, taped numerous pages of books that Demand had tore and fixed a broken wooden rosary....twice.
I had missed the phone call from Mr. Sloth telling me that Demands stomach bug hadn't gone away and she had thrown up all over his parents couch, and himself. He had called on his way to Target to buy some new clothes (yes it was that bad) For the last 48 hours Demand has seemed fine, but has three times just...thrown up. Her best friend has the same mystery disease right now. When Mr. Sloth got home he came in to tell me both kids were asleep in the car so I jumped in and we drove around for a bit so they could both get really good naps in.
Afterwards, Mr. Sloth and I had a quick bite to eat and then I played with the kids and did housework while Mr. Sloth grabbed some ingredient for dinner. He came home just in time for me to head to confession. Since we have to split Mass because we don't want to bring Demand I was heading to Confession AND Mass. It wasn't until Mass had started that I realized I was going to be gone a whole two hours. Yikes! I came home and helped Mr. Sloth put the kids to bed. Neither child was happy about the situation so as Mr. Sloth finally started to cook our dinner we could hear both children screaming. Very pleasant. We were having dinner late because Demand keeps asking for food but we're only letting her eat the BRAT diet and we didn't want to tease her with food. Happy ate his dinner separately.
Hopefully we're done with the Sloths being sick soon as we fly next week!! Oh, and did I mention that it snowed today???
