I'll catch up on some photos though. Two weekends ago I was having Demand fill up her pool around noon so that it would be a good temperature after her nap later that day (3:30pm). I was standing in the pool while it filled and she wanted to do the same. I turned away for one second and she was sitting in the pool....while wearing her jean jumper dress. Strangely, she didn't seem to mind, and she's usually the type that does. So the pictures you see of her in just a shirt are from that day.
One day Demand decided to wear winter clothes. It was a chillier day, but not that cold. There are pictures of what looks like a mini cat burglar in our kitchen, but what is actually Demand in my vest and stocking cap. (Don't be fooled!)
Then there are photos of German Fest. Little about the pictures tells you that we're at a German Fest, but there was a miniature train and tons of kids games set up so you can Demand exploring those.
Next we have Demand napping. She had taken clothes off the top of her dresser prior to falling asleep and felt it necessary to put her pajama pants on her arm. I felt it necessary to document the scene.
In the next pictures Demand and I had walked to the coffee shop and back and I had treated Demand to a "Snow Drift", a coffeeless drink for kids which is basically an expensive cookies and cream milkshake. Demand loved it as you will see.
Then we have one picture of a cake I made at my first decorating class. Then a few more pool pictures of Demand and a couple of her sitting on a ball drinking her milk first thing Saturday morning.
Finally the last pictures are from this past Sunday. We decided to take advantage of one of the many lakes around here and take Demand to the beach. We were quite wrong in thinking she was over her fear of sand. Although it was nice to put her on the blanket and know for certain she wasn't going to go anywhere. Luckily there were swings on the beach so Mr. Sloth and I took turns pushing Demand in the swing and wadding on the shore. Hopefully she'll conquer her fears soon as the beach experience was rather enjoyable otherwise.
This week we're getting ready to have family in town and celebrate Demand's second birthday. She turns two on Wednesday and my family starts to arrive on Friday. Sunday is her "Ice Cream Bar" Birthday blowout. We can't wait. We're praying the weather stays as gorgeous as it has been the last week or so. We're also trying to put the finishing touches on the playroom. It's going to be a busy week.
Enjoy the pictures!
