Two years and five hours ago my water broke. Demand is two today!!! Our plans for the day are pretty laid back since her party is on Sunday. It was convienient however that my cake decorating class was last night. (My class went horrible but it was just a bad day for me) It's 7:30am and she's still sleeping, guess she wanted to sleep in on her birthday, who doesn't? I was going to let her have cake for breakfast but Mr. Sloth had to go into the office this morning. I think I'll make her chocolate chip pancakes and sing to her myself.
Yesterday we asked her how old she was going to be and she said, "3!!....No!!!" Quite funny that one.
At two Demand not only counts to 14, know all the letters of the alphabet and their sounds, and knows at least 8 of her colors, we accidently learned that she knows how to count in Spanish. (Stupid Dora!!) I was walking with her and thought I would try teaching her to count in Spanish I said "Uno" and much to my surpise she said "Dos" then, surprised I said, "tres" and she said "cuatro". I was completely shocked. If she's not learning it from Dora she's learning it from her friend who has the most amazing language skills at age two.
The past two days Demand has been walking around the house saying "doctor" (again, don't know where she picked up the word) She was using a USB cord for a stethescope so we thought we'd find the play one in the Halloween box. She loved it! Now she puts the disk on us and asks "here?" if she puts it on our heart we make the heartbeat sound otherwise we say "nope, not there". She laughs so hard. It's hilarious.
She's also been enjoying her dress up corner (even though the playroom isn't quite finished yet.) She's been loving the pool or for what it's worth, the hose. We find she enjoys the pool more if she's in her clothes are diaper so I don't bother with her swim suit much anymore. Although I may need one as she's already hosed me once.
I'm going to go start the pancakes before she wakes up. I'll post pictures of her later.
Happy Birthday Demand!!!!
