A Blur

I can't believe it's Wednesday and I haven't posted yet. Yikes! Don't worry I'll make up for it in pictures.

Saturday morning was my morning off. I got up at the usual 6:30am and was out the door by 7:45am to be at Walk for Life fund raiser for the local pregnancy crisis centers. I spent most of my time filling balloons. I was the one to tie the balloons and after about an hour I had a claw for a hand and had to switch to ribbon tieing. After that the party got started. They kicked off the walk with an opening prayer from our new ArchBishop (who looks way too young to be an ArchBishop). Not knowing anyone at the walk this year I joined my parish. It was a long four miles that I couldn't believe I had done 9 days before Demand was due. Crazy!!!

Since my morning was coming to a close I stopped to pick up lunch for Mr. Sloth and myself. We ate quickly and the whole family took a crazy long nap. Every inch of me hurt from that walk. After three hours we all woke up happily. Demand and I went to get groceries and then had dinner. (Taco Pizza Burgers made with ground chicken) Then after Demand went to bed we went next door for a Wine and Cheese Party. I braved a nibble of blue cheese and although it didn't make me vomit like usual, I still thought it tasted like a basement floor.

Sunday morning I was up again at 6:30am. Mr. Sloth and Demand slept in a bit though. However, I wanted to leave the house by 9:30am for 10am Mass and Mr. Sloth came down the stairs, belt half on, on 9:37am. Not bad. So we were early for Mass for once.

After Mass we dashed home and scurried around the house changing clothes and gathering up everything we would need for our next adventure. We even put Sidekick to work. We had him load the stroller in the car and put sunblock on Demand. We figured he'd need the experience for when he nannys his two nieces next week in Hawaii.

Finally, we were off. The festival closes of a road for a few miles and then it's lined with food vendor and such. You always see an interesting face there. (To say the least) To eat I had cheese curds, lime snow cone, cookies and cream dots, cream cheese wontons, and pizza. I think that was it. It was a gorgeous day. Warm but not too hot. Demand did great. We got her a Dora balloon as we left which she went crazy over.

When we got home she told us she wanted to nap, but she didn't. I let her play in the hose for a while. I managed to sneak in a short nap before we started grilling. Mr. Sloth made grilled pizza and lemon and garlic chicken wings. By the end of they day we were beyond exhausted. In fact, Monday morning was the first in a while that I had trouble getting up at 6:30am, and I was still sore.

Monday evening. Demand woke up at 12:30am and didn't fall back asleep until 5:40am. Not sick, just awake. Needless to say. Yesterday was a blur, which is why there was no blogging.

I have two links for pictures. One is the wine and cheese party, the other is of the festival.

grand ol day
