See they are (supposedly) resurfacing not only our driveway, but our street and surrounding streets so we don't have access to our driveway until 4pm tomorrow. I say supposedly because after six hours I've yet to see a resurfacing truck yet.
Since it's Friday I knew I wouldn't have the car today and since it's rainyish outside we've been stuck inside all day. Demand who has been really good at self entertaining recently is completely bored today opting to repeat "mama, mama, mama" for no apparently reason followed by clinging. (shutter)
Demand did take a great nap though and it's usually a pretty easy afternoon after naptime. We may even head out for a walk anyway. I was able to get a short nap in, some reading done, and a bit of housework done as well.
Our weekend is completely packed. Tomorrow is my morning off and I'm volunteering from 8am-noon for the Walk for Life. Mr. Sloth offered to switch me weekends, but having Demand would make volunteering impossible so I'm just acccepting my fate and planning on grabbing a giant coffee on the way.
Tomorrow night is a wine and cheese party at Sidekicks house and then Sunday is a favorite festival of ours that will take most of the day. It's one of our two favorite festivals. My favorite, favorite festival is German Fest. It takes place in our old neighborhood every summer. This year it takes place on Father's Day and the day before. I'm so bloomin excited! As I told Sidekick, I may even dust off my durndel this year. Last year Demand was in her pushing of the stroller phase as she couldn't walk just yet. We sat in the shade on a blanket munching on brats and sipping beer (they didn't have root beer last year, what the heck?) and listening to German music and chasing Demand around. Good times. Man I love festival season around here.
The only other bit of news I have to share is that I saw a mouse in our garage last night. I am ANGRY!!! After all the work we did to clean up the mess from last year. Grrrr!! That rodent is going to regret it if he ever comes back here.
Here are some pictures of Demand in her "jimmies" (pajamas) Enjoy!
