The party was a blast, how can a Mexican themed party NOT be fun though?? Mr. Sloth and I had to leave early though since his mom, who was watching Helen, doesn't stay up late and we had to drive two hours the next morning for our nephews First Holy Communion. Busy, busy weekend.
Sunday morning was funny. The last time Demand had seem me was when I put her down for her nap. It's rare we're apart that long. So I walked into her room to find her with what I can only describe as toddler-I need my "coffee" face. As I was gleefully saying good morning she was saying "Noors" (nurse") completely stonefaced. When I asked if she had missed me she replied again, stonefaced, "Noors". She had quite an agenda. Even though I had just weaned her off morning feeding sessions I let this one slide. (And no the one time nursing didn't effect our new schedule)
So here are some pics of the party.
The Birthday Boy
El Wife-O
Lady G looking, well UN ladylike
El Cake-O
I made the peppers out of fondant which turned out to be rather easy to work with. Frosting and I did not mix well this time around. I humbly gave in at midnight on Friday.
The sombrero is made of fondant, again, easy to work with. Please ignore the lopsided cake. Actually the cake is straight the frosting (as previously mentioned) was an issue. Sometimes you just have to humbly walk away.
